Although most Californians and Los Angeles residents ignored the fact that yesterday was Election Day, there were some significant results that are of interest to CAALA members.

Class Action “Fairness” Questioned
House Republican leadership rang in the first of June with a hearing to examine restricting class actions further than the Class Action Fairness Act and Concepcion. The Constitution Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee called the hearing, “Class Action Seven Years after the Class Action Fairness Act.”
